Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology sessions are for people of all ages, from the newborn to the
elderly, for a general tune-up or for an unhealthy body.  The benefits of
reducing stress in turn minimize physical symptoms.  Reflexology in
conjunction with other forms of therapies, compliments all on going medical
treatments.

Using firm pressure on the hands or feet, we focus on specific reflexes that
affect all parts, glands and organs of the body. A full session will last
between 45 to 60 minutes according to the client’s requirements.  Relaxation
with the removal of stress is the first priority followed by enhanced
circulation.  The results allow the body to experience physiological changes
that will incorporate the automatic process of the body to begin healing.

Special attention is given to clients in order to enhance this experience
during an in office session.

Our oldest documentation is from an Egyptian papyrus depicting medical
practitioners treating hands and feet in 2,500 B.C.  Reflexology sessions
are for people of all ages with the benefits working as either a general
tune-up or for an unhealthy body.  These sessions will complement all other
healing modalities that the client may be taking.

How does it work?

When specific reflexes are stimulated on either the hands or feet the body’s
own natural electrical energy will then work along the nervous system to
clear any blockages in the corresponding zone of the body.

With the removal of stress, the body’s parasympathetic response enables the
blockages to be released by a physiological change in the body.  With stress
removed and the circulation enhanced, the body is allowed to return to a
state of homeostasis (homeostasis is the automatic process that the body
incorporates to bring it back to the "normal" state.)
