Meditation
Meditation is a tool to manage stress, tap into our inner wisdom, relax and activate our natural healing ability. The purpose of meditation is to find happiness and well-being within the mind, regardless of what is going on in the body. Guided imagery encourages internal harmony and increases our ability to heal emotional and physical upsets. Meditation requires no belief or lifestyle change, is non-religious and can be learned by anyone regardless of age or education.
Research has shown that medication can improve an individual’s physiological well-being. There is scientific evidence that meditation can reduce blood pressure and relieve pain and stress.
While meditation can take practice, there are many types of meditation available. Most people find that different forms of meditation will come easier than others. Group meditation is an excellent form, as the newer people will benefit from the positive energy of the more experienced. Group meditation usually has a leader that will ’guide’ you through your meditation, making it easier to concentrate and acheive maximum benefits.
