You may have recently heard the words,
You have breast cancer. These are words you wished you would never here in your lifetime. A range of emotions come into play immediately.These can vary from shock and denial to fear,sadness to anger to numbness. We are here to help you. Please do not hesitate to come in and visit us,call us, or for now just search our site for some information.

We can offer you many programs,services and resources to guide you though this very difficult and challenging time. You are not alone. We are here to help YOU, your families and your friends throughout your entire journey with breast cancer.We have been there too.....
Breast Cancer Support Services is the most comprehensive resource for breast health and breast cancer in the Halton-Hamilton area. We have also developed relationships with cancer and breast cancer organizations throughout the country.

We offer a wide range of programs and services, particularly, information, support and referrals for women and men with breast cancer. If you need something not on the list below, Contact Us. We will help.
  • Monthly Support Meetings by a trained facilitator
  • Telephone Peer Support by volunteers who have experiences with breast cancer.
  • Support for partners, families and friends
  • Outreach/Education - Breast Health Workshops. It is everyone’s responsibility to care for his or her own health, including breast health. Through breast self-examination workshops, participants learn proper breast self-examinations and the importance of early detection.
  • Information and a friendly ear at our Drop-In Centre. A friendly, inviting environment, the drop-in centre provides valuable resources and support.
  • The Breast Cancer Journey: Current information about breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and side effects
  • Borrowing Library with over 400 books, audio, videotapes and CD ROMs
  • Internet Access/Website and Links to other sources of breast cancer information. BCSS has established networks with other breast cancer support groups and women’s health organizations both nationally and internationally to create links to other helpful, informative sites related to breast cancer, breast health and health in general.

  • Prosthesis information, retail locations and loans of wigs, turbans, prosthesis and mastectomy bras
