Breast Cancer Awareness month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there’s lots going on!
Thanks to all of the Survivors who came to our Wine & Cheese Celebration to kick off the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It was a great evening and very nice to meet some new faces. Everyone seemed to have a good time and enjoyed seeing old friends.
This Sunday is the CIBC Run for the Cure and we will have our fabulous “Breast of Friends” table there to sell their Pink Ribbon items. Those ladies are great! So if you go to the Run, stop at the table and say HI to Hazel and Merle. We also have a number of our Survivors out doing the walk, and even some people walking in honour of our friends here. I hope it’s a great day for all those that participate!
And coming up quickly now, it’s the fabulous Party in Pink! I’ve heard great things about it, and as the date grows closer, the excitement is building. Ticket sales are fast and furious at this point, but there are still some left! Hurry and get yours soon! I’m looking forward to the event of the year!
There’s so many other events happening this month that you should have no problem finding something to participate in! (See the Events section for Scrap Cancer, Charity Fashion Show and the Clothing Swap!)I hope you wear something pink this month and help to spread the word. Raise awareness to reduce the risk!
